David Gillard, Sir Phillip - Year V Electrical Engineering at the University of Hertfordshire, in Hertfordshire, United Kingdom. Along with being the group's 8th Engineer, David is also a Cub-scout leader for the Epping Forest South District in the UK, and has worked as a staff member at Gilwell Park. He also holds the Venturer Scout Award, Queen's Scout Award, and Explorer Belt. David actually came to Snow Moot 2001, all the way from England to be on staff, and was appropriately awarded with the award for the longest distance travelled to the moot.  David was a great help, and everyone was so glad he came!  While he was in Canada, he also experienced a Canadian winter with some good snowfall (not to mention rain, sleet and hail - it was Snow Moot, afterall).  Why don't you check out David and Adam's web page?

Why we call him "Philip"

We named the English Boys "Terrance" and "Philip" after the two characters on South Park who go around farting on each other and are supposed to be Canadian but have outrageous British accents.
