Hope Jervis
Sir Meatless Weenie

Hope Jervis, Sir Meatless Weenie - [B.A. (Wilfred Laurier) '01]  Hope is now studying massage therapy at a college in Burlington in order to add a useful skill (mmm...  very useful) to her PhysEd. degree.  Hope has been a part of the crew for a few years now, but before that she had never been a member of Scouting before.  She was knighted on 22 August 1998, during the canoe trip where she truly proved that she fit in with the group - the suggestion of a Crew club for use when people won't help clean up is just an example...  Apparently she still has a few things to learn about canoeing though, as she proved when she organised her own little trip to Algonquin Park this past August...  I hear that it was interesting to say the least  :-)

Why we call her "Meatless Weenie"

Well, as if it isn't self explanatory, Hope is a vegetarian.  Every time that the rest of us eat meat, she is stuck with eating vegetarian hot dogs, or meatless weenies.
