This was the first day of deer season in Vermont in '94. I had only sat down for about a half an hour that morning when that nice little 3 pointer walked to only 40 yards from me. Then as I was walking to see the deer I had just got I heard dad shoot on the other side of the mountain. With the signal shots it was confirmed that it was dad. By noon on the first day of the season my dad and I were driving out with my 3 pt., 120 lb buck and dads 8 pt., 160 lb buck. It wasn't too bad a morning.

Then the next day my uncle pulled out this nice 6 pointer only about 300 yards from where my dad shot his deer the day before. The weird thing about this deer was that the horns looked almost indentical to an 8 pointer my dad shot years before. It also happened that my uncle shot it out of the same stand my dad had shot that deer years ago.

Here are all the deer in my garage. It's hard to see but all three are there. That year my uncle shot one in Maine also so we had 4 deer hanging up. It was a great year.

Well this one wasn't shot in Vt, but this is the one that my uncle shot in Maine. Tracked it all day and nearing the end it finally gave him a shot. Has 9 points and weighed in at 195 lbs.
