Description |
A long stretch of grassy banks, upstream of the old Severn Bridge, dropping down onto sloping, almost featureless mudflats. A deep rhyne (gully) splits the mark in two. The favoured marks are at the far left hand end, where there is a small gravel bank, and the far right hand end, just before a line of net posts. The mud is wadeable if you want to fish before the tide reaches the grass, but it is very soft and I wouldn't recommend it!! |

Fishing Methods and Baits |
Fish two rods if possible. Bang one out as far as possible, and fish the other one 20-30 yards out. Most anglers fish a 2 or 3 hook flapping rig, or a bomber for long range. Best baits are lug and peeler. Sometimes tipping off with a small rag can bring results. |
|
Best Tides |
Ideal tides are between11.0m and 12.5m(local). This will give you 2-2˝hrs fishing either side of high water. |
