The Blue and Gold Banquet is the highlight of the scouting
year. The banquet is held on a Friday evening in February, Scouting’s anniversary
month. This is an evening when the pack can thank the families of the Scouts
with a meal and present the Cub Scouts with awards. It is also a chance
to display items created by Scouts and have fun. The Banquet will be held
on February 18, 2000.
BOWLING OUTING Chair - Jim Morris
Many of the Cub Scouts and

size and weight. The pinewood derby is an exciting morning of racing these
gravity-powered cars on a regulation track. The cars will be raced by dens
to determine the best in the den. The den champions will then race to determine
the pack champion. After the races, the boys may challenge their fathers

receive ribbons for participation and for winning competitions. The pinewood
derby car kits will be available from the pack in advance of the activity.
| POPCORN SALES |
Chair - Jim Morris |
Popcorn sales are a very important fund raising activity that
assists the pack and the district. Our goal is to sell $15,000 worth of
popcorn. The popcorn tastes great and is welcomed in the community. Last
year our pack earned over $4,000 for the pack, as well as money for the
district. This is the main method for the pack to generate money for operating
expenses for pack activities, and it is the only fund raiser our pack holds
each year. The sales are from September 24 - October ???, 1999. Popcorn
should be available for delivery November ??? and money is due to the pack
December ???. Each den will select a parent to coordinate the popcorn sales
in their den. The parent coordinator will collect orders, distribute popcorn
to Scouts, and collect money.
