Later he worked for Harbor Plywood Company and moved the family to Atlanta, Georgia in 1956 when transferred by the company. In Atlanta, he worked in carpentry and also held a few sales positions, the last being with Shedd Brown,Inc. He met Allie when he was in the Columbia Hospital for an appendectomy. His death was due to cancer. He was cremated and his ashes were spread in the -?- Cemetery in Atlanta, Georgia. He was married to Martha Allie (Allie) SUBER on 25 Aug 1940.
3. Martha Allie (Allie) SUBER was born on 26 Sep 1917 in Newberry County, South Carolina. She died on 7 Nov 1997 in Cumming, Gerogia. Allie grew up in Newberry Co., South Carolina. She attended nursing school at Columbia Hospital in Columbia, SC. There she met Harry when he was hospitalized for an appendectomy. She apparently almost choked him when he reached out to get her attention and touched her in a ticklish spot. She startled and accidentally dumped a can of powder she was holding onto his face. He survived, however, and they married. She continued to work in Columbia at the Providence Hospital and moved with the family to Atlanta in 1956. There she worked as a private duty nurse at Piedmont Hospital. She moved to Cumming, Forsyth Co., Georgia in 1983. Her passions were her family, flowers, crocheting and sewing. She died of congestive heart failure. She was cremated and her ashes are yet to be spread.

384. John Michael SUBER was born in 1710 in Baiertal, Germany. He died after 1772 in Newberry County, South Carolina. His first wife was Anna Maria Whittmann. His second wife was Ester Margretha Herman. His third wife was Elizabeth Miller. John Michael Suber arrived in Charles Town (Charleston, SC) on board the ship CUNLIFFE in September 1752. With him were his three young children: Catherine, 10; Hans Erick, 9; and Conrad, 3. John Michael petitioned for and received a land grant of 200 acres in the Dutch Fork area. John Michael's third wife, Elizabeth Miller (her maiden name unknown) also came over on the CUNLIFFE. She had one son John Michael Miller. Elizabeth received a land grant adjacent to John Michael Suber. They married and three children were born to that union.
