Ideas Wanted

Ideas to help improve Pack 48 are always welcome. Think of ways we can make the Pack Meetings more exciting, communicate with the parents better, service projects as a pack. Let's make Pack 48 the best we can!

Leader for Advancements Needed

Next year we will need a new leader to take care of Advancements (Badges, Pins, etc...). Gayla Vincent has been doing this for several years, but her son Brian will be leaving Pack 48 after completing Webelos this year. Gayla will finish out the school year. Nevertheless, we would like to identify someone yet this school year so Gayla can train them. This is a natural position for someone that works in Columbus, since we get the badges at the Scout Shop. If you think you would be interested please contact Dave Sims. Pack 48 E-mail

Treasurer Needed

Next year will be Ron Stickles last year at Pack 48. We will need to replace him after the Blue and Gold Banquet next year. It would be our hope to have someone in place to work with Ron at the Beginning of the school yeat. This is a great opportunity to serve the boys of Pack 48. If you think you would be interested please contact Dave Sims. Pack 48 E-mail

Aluminum Can Drive

At our March April Pack Meeting we will be collecting aluminum cans for the final time this year. Monies earned by the boys goes into their summer camp accounts.

The district Pinewood Derby will be held on February 23, 1997 at the Indian Mound Mall.

Activity Fee

Many of the boys that were registered last year have not paid their activity fee. This fee allows us to purchase awards and advancements plus support special activities of the den or pack. If you have more than one boy in Cub Scouts the fee is for the entire family. Please see your Den Leader to pat the fee or check if you have already paid it.

If you have any suggestions or want to contribute an article,
please contact David Sims.
