Welcome to my page dedicated to my favorite place in the world: Sherando Lake Recreational Area! It's a small recreational area located near Waynesboro, Virginia. To get there you either take I-64 West (from the Richmond area) or I-64 East from I-81. Take Exit 96 and head South on Route 624 until you reach 664 (same road). The park entrance is about 10 miles from I-64 on the right.

In case you can't get there or want to see what it's like before you visit, I have (through a LOT of work) created a page that will allow you to take a virtual visit to the park. Although it's a long way from being true virtual reality, it will definately let you get an idea of what the park is like. Below is a map of the park, by clicking on any of the 's you can go to a page that contains pictures from that particular site. On several pages, you will be able to look in different directions to see different pictures, or even the same picture at different times of the year.

I hope you enjoyed your little virtual visit, and will have the time to actually visit the park sometime! If you have any questions about the park just E-mail me at chlacy@vt.edu.
