Let me give you a barn tour! Here at Moniet Meadows,
there are a wide variety of horses. They vary in age and
breed. Though the preference of breed is Arabians,
the Meadow welcomes any member of the equine family!

IT'S A GIRL!!! Shar gave birth to her first foal on 18 June 1998! Talk about excitement! I have had everyone over I can possibly think of to see her! Click on her picture so you can learn more about her!!!
This beautiful horse is my registered Arabian mare, Moniet Shahar.
I call her "Shar". She is now ten years old (click on picture to see her as a foal)
and she just had her first foal by Arabian Stallion, Prince Maarhalima,
AKA "Sigmund".
The foal is born!!!
Wow! What a stallion! Have you ever seen such a horse!?
His name is Prince Maarhalima, AKA "Sigmund". He is six years old has the best disposition of any horse I have ever had the pleasure to
work with! I leased him from Vivienne and Lucinda Skidmore, and for the duration of the lease ,I trained him and taught him how to breed.
By clicking on the picture of Siggy to the left, you can see photos of his first breeding lesson. I hope you all like him as much as I do, feel free to contact me for any more
information on him at shahar@usit.net. I will be glad to send pictures to anyone who has an interest in him!
This little 3 year old is named Siroun. I have been training her for Susan Felker. Susan owns Black Ridge Arabians in Floyd County VA. In exchange for me training Siroun, I will be breeding Shar to her stallion, Majnun Ibn Sobara, in a few weeks. Click on the link above (her farm's name) to learn more about him or write to Susan Felker at felker@swva.net. (Click on Siroun's picture for a larger view of her, then use the back button on your browser to return to this page...)
Siroun is for sale!!!
Mariah Eden is this mare's registered name. I used to call her
"Windy". Windy would do anything you asked her to do, and she proved it in the
show ring almost every weekend. She was recently bought by Pauline Keller to be used as a school horse.
I really miss her nickering at me every time I open my back door...
This is a picture of my first pony, Scooter. She was an unregistered
POA (Pony of the Americas). She taught me practically everything I know today. Talk
about stubborn! I can't complain though, her stubborness taught me a lot! She was the
talk of the barn with her "pony power". Her small package of 13.2 hands easily carried
any rider over a 4 and a half foot fence!
Mufasa! What great name for this little stud! He is an own son
of Moranjo. Mufasa was born at VA Tech and was raised there until he was a weanling.
Before he was moved home to Richmond, I had the opportunity to train him. He looks well behaved
in this picture, but at first he was just the opposite! I really enjoyed working with him!
The Hokie Harvest Auction at VA Tech made quite a bit of money off of this registered arabian,
Sahib. He was the second high selling horse at the first annual auction in the fall
of 1995. The students in the class Equine Behavior and Training are each assigned a horse to train
that are sold in the auction, and I had the opportunity of working with Sahib. This horse has
tremendous potential!
