Welcome to my web page which was originaly developed to help me find
employment. I am not an expert in web design so this is a very
simple site. If you have a job to offer, you should seriously consider hiring me.
Among my many varying interests is an interest in the "outdoors".
Being a student at Algoma Universtity in Sault Ste. Marie, outdoor activities are easily accessible with the vast surrounding wilderness.
I have previously been employed at the Canadian Vimy Memorial and Park as well as the Newfoundland Memorial Park at Beaumont-Hamel. The Vimy park is located near Arras, France in the Nord / Pas De Calais region and the Newfoundland park is on the Somme, in the fields of Picardie, north of Amiens and close to the town of Albert. Canadian Students are hired to staff the interpretive activities for the eight months that the park is open for tours. Most of the visitors to the park are British however there are many French and Canadians that stop by.
In the summer of 1996, I had the opportunity for an exceptional wilderness living experience. I was employed at Parc de la Jacques Cartier 40 km north of Quebec City. The park has many natural features like excellent hiking trails, abundant wildlife, and an exciting river for canoeing however the most breathtaking aspect, in my opinion, is the way the valley is encased by the 400-500m high vertical walls.
I enjoy travelling as well as adventure and I believe that flexibility
and adaptability are important skills.
