A photo of the butt socket on the 'competition' 7.62 Conversion. This same marking and serial number are stamped on the butt, just behind the butt socket @6:00 O'clock, and on the very front of the forestock @6:00 O'clock. Conversion number on this rifle is 1,449. I've no idea what the 5G stands for, but among the rifles (4) that I'm aware of, they all have it. BW
