CHILDREN

You give them life, you watch them grow, you hurt when they hurt, you feel good when they feel good. You give them everything you have to give and with every minute, every day, every year they grow towards adulthood and their freedom. One day your holding them in your arms and the next day they are all grown up. You sit and wonder where the years have gone. They seem to have flown by so fast. Now it's oh Dad I'm and adult now I can handle myself. See Dad I told you I could do it. And inside you knew they could do it and you are so proud of them because they did it. No matter how many heartaches they may cause while growing up you always love them and always are so proud of them when they do something good. I look at my two son's and see one now a young man striking out on his own and the other just starting to become a man at the tender age of 13 and I think of so many things. I think of how when they were babies and I would hold them and protect them because they were so small and helpless. The night's I held my oldest when he was cutting teeth and had a temperature of 103 and cried all night long, only stopping when I would hold him and walk the floors. When I would hold my youngest as he would cuddle to me because he was the cuddly one of the two. How we would watch the Packers every weekend and cheer them on even when they were bad, and the love we felt for them and each other when they won the super bowl. Now my little boys are growing up. I hope I have done and I am doing everything I can to help them grow up into the great young men I know they are. I will miss the little boy giggles, hugs, and snuggeling on my lap as we watch TV. When I look at them with my eyes I see them as they appear but in my mind I see the ghost images of my little ones and I hear them asking me all the questions all over again about all the things they wanted to learn. I hope they realize that the learning does not stop just because they have reached or are reaching adulthood. Life is a learning process that never stops. I will not always be there to clean up every bloody knee that life gives out, but I will always be there for them in their hearts if they listen they will hear me as I always hear them in mine. In life my little boys have grown up. The years went so fast and I know that they must grow up and spread their wings and fly and I will be so proud of them but in a little piece of my mind and my heart they will always be my little boys.

I LOVE YOU LUKE AND STEVEN
Dad
