I wrote this in tribute to my Grandparents the day after my Grandpa passed away.
As I sit here watching the sunset on this first day of the rest of our
lives without Grandpa, we all feel a great emptiness in our hearts but yet
as I sit here feeling the warmth of the spring sun it is as if Grandma and
Grandpa are here beside me, holding us, keeping us warm, and soothing our
hurt. I know that Grandpa does not want us to cry but I hope that he will
understand if we do a little because we need to. I sit here and look out
over the farm and I compare it to Camelot and Grandpa and Grandma were the
King and Queen and we were all prince's and princess's born into the royal
family. All there ever was here was love for us all. And we all knew that
wherever we went and whatever we did we could come back to Camelot and find
that love here waiting for us. But now the King is gone and Camelot is
nomore, but the teachings they have taught us will make us able to make
our own Camelots wherever we are and we know that Grandpa and Grandma will
be in heaven smiling down on us. But yet I know in my heart nothing we make
will ever compare to what once was here. I feel as if I have inheirited a
throne with no kingdom. As the sun slowly set on this day I know that each
of us will leave here with a little bit of Camelot in our hearts and I know
somewhere the King and Queen are smiling.
We miss you both so very much and we carry you in our hearts.

I recently found this picture of my Camelot.
I was so pleased when I read the back of it
in my Grandmother's handwriting it said
For

Though time has faded the color of
this picture my memories never will fade
Thank you Grandma and Grandpa.
Camelot is always in my heart.
