building exercise, a special interest

as fishing or bird watching, a social

YOU CAN ESCAPE!
Be 60 kilometres from Brisbane and 1000
kilometres from anywhere. It does not matter if
you are a beginner or an experienced adventurer.
We shall show you how to relax and enjoy the
natural rhythm of the leisurely parts of the river
and teach you the skills you will need to master
the faster flowing sections. This stretch of river
typifies the Australian Bush – the natural serenity,
prolific bird life and surprise glimpses of animals
and reptiles.
Wild supply everything - all the canoeing gear,
camping equipment and tucker. You could say
our trip gives you your accommodation, food and
entertainment for a whole 2 days. A gentle paddle
downs the Brisbane River with a touch of
excitement. Have a great weekend holiday or join
us for a one-day expedition at a discount rate.
But why do people choose to canoe tour with us?
People come with us for many reasons. There is
definitely the fun and adventure. Nothing is more
exhilarating than meeting the physical challenge.
Some like to come with us for the simplicity of an
escape weekend. After paddling just half an hour
down the river, forgeting that the rest of the world
exists is possible. There is no packing and
loading camping and canoeing gear. We plan the
itinerary, food and overnight camp and we tell
people not to bring their watch. Most love seeing
birds and animals in their natural habitat. Some
like to help with cooking of the damper and the
evening meal while others like to watch and
relax. There is nothing like sitting around a
campfire, with good company, listening to or
telling yarns. Even something as simple as the
brightness of the night sky can capture the
imagination. A late night dip on a warm night can
be special. Another special time of day is sunrise
with the early morning chorus of birds and the
mist rising from a very still river. Each has his or
her own reason for enjoying a Wild escape.
