This episode starts with Karin remembering how her plan didn't succeed the night before (maybe it was the same night, it didn't specify. In fact it could be many days into the future). She is thinking when all of a sudden the scientist from the future call and asks for a progress report (if you really think about it, time communication is something totally impossible). Karin lies and quickly hangs up the phone. The scene changes then to Junta lying in bed thinking about... you guessed it Karin... He decides then that he will buy Karin a present, but he's not sure what to get her. So that morning Junta seeks out Ami and asks her what would be a good gift for a girl (Junta no BAKA). Ami mentions something briefly about a necklace. Junta thinks it's a great idea and jumps at the opportunity to go to the store. There he finds a necklace conveniently priced at 4800 yen (or about 48 dollars). He buys it, but with horrible timing, Saeki arrives. She thinks that the necklace is for her, and puts it on (duh!). When Junta sees her with the necklace on, he turns into the mega-playboy. It is a brief change, and when he returns to his regular self he sees he is walking with Saeki. She quickly ducks into a changing booth, and Junta seeing an opportunity, starts to ask Saeki for the necklace back. But being her, she pulls Junta into the changing room with her (lucky guy).

Well Junta gets a little to excited, and like he did in the beginning, he throws up. Karin, who is spying on both of them from afar, is happy. Karin knows Saeki will never talk to Junta again. But that is farther from the truth then Karin would like to believe. Saeki comes from the bathroom (obviously cleaning up) and knowing that Junta can't refuse, she asks him to go back to his bedroom (again, I state, what a lucky guy). At the bedroom, Junta changes several times into the mega-playboy, and Saeki falls more and more in love with him with each passing moment. Seeing that her mission is again failing, Karin seeks out Ami and forces her to come to Junta's house. Back at the house, Ami overhears how much Saeki likes Junta. Something surprising happens however. Junta demands that he have the necklace back from Saeki. Saeki, being amazingly calm, and un-stunned (if that's a word), opens the door to Junta's bedroom, where Ami and Karin are standing. Thinking Junta is really in love with Ami, Saeki gives the necklace to Ami, and then runs outta Junta's home. Karin, overlooking the whole situation, knows that this is good for her mission, but she feels sadness. She likes Junta.
