She tied her loosely-curled black hair into a long runner tail and pulled the hair over her shoulder forlornly. For the millionth time, she reassured Aleith. M'love. Do not worry! The gold is not here to push you on her schedule. If you want a bath, we can go now, or we can go later. It's your choice.
The small green out on the ledge sighed and curled up into a ball. Even though ALeith was obiviously an adult, she still obsessed about being pushed by her older sister when she hatched. Hun, she no longer has that kind of power over you. You were just confused, she was just trying to help.. Nayai explained patiently as she added, in her own odd way...
The green remained silent and Nayai wondered what was the matter with her love. She pushed the tail into its position in the center of her back and headed out onto the ledge to comfort her worried green. Her hair would have to wait for later, cutting it would wait too.
"Allie, what's the matter?" Nayai asked as she looked at the green. The green just opened one eye and put out a foreleg. Nayai took that as an invitation and sat resting against the leathery emerald hide. She scratched the skin and Aleith crooned. That is better. I itch and I wish to bathe. May we? Can you oil me too? Aleith asked carefully and the musles behind Nayai's back rippled as the green prepared the stand.
Nayai rose and smiled lovingly at her green. "That's better. I knew there was something you wanted to ask. Don't be afraid darling!" The former starsmith said and watched the green carefully pull her self up onto muscular legs. "Let me get your rags and some oil. Go ahead down. You like to glide, I'll meet you there!"
The green let out a snuff. Thanks. Allie said and jumped delicately off the ledge to glide in a downwards spiral towards Aden's hotsprings. Meawhile, as the green lazily desented, Nayai hurried inside and grabbed up Aleith's supplies ot head down to meet her green.

Yes, the stars were certainly in the tiny girl's eyes as she lifted her tousled head of black hair and stared up at the sky. She smiled tight lipped and raised the delicate two-eye distance viewer to her eyes. Yes, the stars were out bright and that meant a full night for the apprentice starsmith. Her parents had sent the thin-boned girl away after finding she was of no use to them at the farm, and her immediate dislike for meat. Animals were seen as friends and not as food in this teen's eyes.
Barely reaching five full feet with a childlike complexion and delicate bones, her skin was fair and her hair dark. The unlikely combination made her the laugh of the Hall when she was caught out in the day, so she preferred the night by all means. She had also befriended the watch wher, the dumb creature liking the fellow creature of the night. Both spoke with timid voices, in their own means, and each kept to the shadows when day arrived.
Nayai had been Searched for Navi Weyr at night, by a fellow starsmith (former) who now rode blue and saw possiblity in the tiny frame. Nayai was one of few words and was always quiet, her personality always hidden, as if waiting for the right key to unlock its contents and let out her secrets. Secretly, Nayai was afraid of the day, with its bright festivities and happy things that scared her. She had lost a pet wherry to a nighttime Fall and despised the stuff even more, hence her haste to Navi in search of a candidacy opening.
Now, at Navi, she stays in her little candidates weyr and keeps it tidy, she was destined to be a recordskeeper, that is, if her starcraft work fell through and she was even more so determined to ride a dragon to char the Thread that earned her poor pet wherry a slow, painful death.
