| Ticcala was once a runner and came from an unknown parentage of which she never discovered. She's supected that her parents were dragonriders who deemed her illegamite and fostered her out as soon as they could. She believes this even more since all of her children aged 10 and up were Searched at one time. It was hardly likely that a dragon, several at that, could makes so many mistakes. Ticcala met Gutiden at the Ista runner station and they traveled to the next place together. She must have been 26 or 27 turns when she had her first child of Gutiden's and they deemed married shortly thereafter. She gave up running after her second child (Gutic) and started her own runner station with Gutiden. every turn, or so it seemed, she bore him another child with the pair's characteristic long legs and short torsos. Most of their children were born in the station, but actually consider themselves of Aden WeyrHold as the station tithes to the Hold and runs most of the Hold's letters. The children spend most fo their time at the WeyrHold inbetween runs and loves to spend their few and far between marks and chits at the frequent Gathers. Currently, Ticcala is watching for handsome young runners to pass through her station in hopes of matching up her older daughters. She watches and teaches proudly as her children mature and turn into runners with high endurances. She taught them the proper way to fit shoes, how to maintain the traces and the ever so important moss that lines the trace. She is also know for her poultice famed for drawing out needlebush thorns and her others for healing bruises and minor scratches. Her children know the secrets of the putices and know not to divulge it. Often, the secret keeps the station running. Now older and wiser, Ticcala trains any young runner desiring to rank and still keeps her secrets. |
