The USS Vigilance represents the powerhouse of the vessels assigned to the Starbase T'Plana-Hath.  She is used for extended range and duration strategic missions.  Though stationed at the T'Plana-Hath, she spends the majority of her time away, unless needing repairs or crew changes.  The USS Vigilance is a variation of the powerful Sovereign class, carrying a squadron of 12 Titan Class Fighters, plus a few runabouts, and a variety of shuttles and specialty craft.  She can repair and resupply these craft as needed, though the fighters are capable of short range and duration missions away from their home base.  The Vigilance takes her name from the original USS Vigilance, the last of the outdated Vanguard Class Carriers (variant of Excelsior Class), which was destroyed by Breen forces during the Dominion War.
