Most organizations cannot afford to maintain a full-time professional staff, and volunteers usually are usually not up to the task.
ADVANCE will be your public relations department. Contract with ADVANCE Institute to:
(1) develop your media relations materials, including press kits and case statements,
(2) develop and promote media-relations events, and promote events in the media,
(3) write news releases and feature stories for the press and the electronic media,
(4) develop promotional videos,
(5) develop web pages, and
(6) maintain your presence in the media.
Advance will do the job for $150 a day. Depending on the size of your organization and your promotional needs, you may need only one, two, or three days of service each month. ADVANCE will work with you at your site and will also work with you electronically to keep costs down. ADVANCE also understands that budgets are tight, so rates may be reduced in the case of special situations.
ADVANCE is not only interested in contracting with you to provide media relations services, but is also interested in training your staff and volunteers to do the media relations job themselves. ADVANCE offers one-day training workshops in media relations, video production, writing the case statement, fundraising techniques and a variety of other topics.
