Nights at the Hotel in Kathmandu. Days 4-9 This morning you fly to Pokhara in Central Nepal where you are transported to the beginning of your trek at the base of the high Annapurna Range. Hiking among these most massive and spectacular of Nature's creations is an experience never to be forgotten. During the easy 6 days trek you will be accompanied by a fully trained guide, cook and sherpas to ensure a smooth and comfortable walking experience. All staff, including porters, are fully insured; all baggage is carried for you; equipment is of the highest standard; kerosene is used as fuel to avoid depletion of fuelwood; and all non-biodegradeable waste is disposed of at designated sites. Three nights fully-serviced camping. Day 10 The trek ends back in Pokhara where you can rest in the luxury Hotel. Days 10-12 Today you transfer to one of Asia's finest National Parks, the Royal Chitwan. A road journey in this part of the world can be longish and bumpy, but it is certainly never boring! On arrival check in to your resort in a superb setting on an island within the Park itself. During your stay here you will enjoy all the sights and sounds of the wild on a series of guided jungle walks, elephant safaris and canoe rides. In the process of searching for the wild and powerful Indian Rhino, huge and majestic Elephant, and the ultimate king of the jungle, the Tiger, you will see many other animals such as elegant Spotted Deer, the more sedate Sambar, long-tailed Grey Langur, agile Rhesus Macaques, fast-footed Small Indian Mongoose, acrobatic squirrels of various descriptions, heavy but surprisingly fast Wild Boar, or perhaps even an Indian Porcupine or a Marsh Mugger Crocodile. Even those less interested in birds will find a hugely colourful variety ranging from the giants of the avian world such as hornbills and eagles, to diminutive colourful sunbirds and troops of noisy babblers which all add to the multi-faceted experience. Nights at Resort in Chitwan. Days 13-14 After a last morning safari at Chitwan you return by road to Kathmandu where you can enjoy a day at leisure. You may wish to explore the bustle of back streets and narrow alleys with their little shrines, squares and temples; shop for colourful and intricately fashioned handicrafts, or perhaps take a trip out to the rim of the Valley to enjoy some final hours with the Himalaya, the Abode of the Gods.
