Sorry I haven't got back sooner, but I gotta tell you, it's been rough for me. I don't know if you thought this was going to be easy for me or what, but I'm still in shock I guess.
I've been going over and over this in my mind trying to take it all in. Blaming myself and wondering what I could have done different, yea I'm one of those that don't understand this stuff, don't agree with it and don't like it.
But you are my son and I love you, so that makes things a lot harder. It's going to take me some time before I can come to grips with this, there's just too much I don't know. Too many question I have about this lifestyle.
I have more of a problem with the way peole have to go out and push their styles on the world rather than just doing their own thing and being happy with it. That's when people get upset, when it's pushed on them...just don't push it down my throat and we'll get along fine. Don't try and tell me that you're being screwed around. Hell, it's not easy for any of us. I've never disliked anyone because the're what they are, but have because of the way they've acted.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, I can probably come to grips with you being gay, but if you feel you have to raise a rucus at school and around the country, to make people accept you then that's what I have a problem with. Be what you are and don't try and change the world to favor you.
It's a cruel world out there and you're getting into more than you know by trying to change it. Drawing attention to yourself is not only foolish but dangerous. I suppose you will do what you want but wish you would back off that part, you say you've already gotten death threats, well wake up before it's too late.
