To expose my heart
What a difficult task
My world torn apart
Hanging onto the past.
With each tragedy in my life
Another brick is laid
The wall builds up
My life again saved.
Layer by layer
Brick by brick
Miles high
Inches thick.
A dark room
Four black walls
My heart here lies
In the protective halls.
Here to stay
Forever to be
Lock the door
Throw away the key.
