| I met Ralph at one of my girlfriend's get together's. I called to see what she was up to around 10:00pm that night and she said her and her boyfriend were having a little party and wanted to know if I'd come over. I told her she'd have to come get me because my parents were getting ready for bed. She came and picked me up and headed to her house. When I got there, no one was there. Only her, her boyfriend and his two little sisters. I hung out with his youngest sister, Alisha for a while. We were the only two not drinking that night. Around 11:00 I said it was time for me to head home. Ann-Marie and Alisha both begged me to stay the night. I agreed and asked if she'd take me home to get some things. By the time we got back, the empty house had turned into a full house. I walked in the house after Ann-Marie and the first person I saw was Ralph, standing in front of the refriderator. I swear he gave me a weird look. He say's he didn't. But I saw it and so did Alisha. Anyway... the whole night, he was quiet. He was pretty gone by the end of the night (begining of the morning). He was knocking himself out, making everyone laugh. But he said not one word to me. I don't know what it was about him, but I was very interested. I think it was the shyness he was giving off. He'd look at me, and when I'd look up he'd look away. There was a time when Joe (his bestfriend, and my friends boyfriend) yelled, "Sandi, Ralph wants your ass." and when I didn't say anything I heard Joe tell him to go get it. I just laughed. Well, Alisha and I hung out the whole night. Towards the time everyone was crashing, it was just Joe, Alisha, Ralph, Joe's screwed up friend Jeff and I awake. Joe got his video camera out. The funniest part of the night was when Alisha slapped Jeff in the face. Ralph was just sitting on his stool watching everything. I walked up to grab my pop off the bar and Alisha made Ralph hit my butt. When I turned around the look on his face is one I'll never forget. He said that he cringed up waiting to get blasted. But I didn't hit up, I laughed and walked away. When everyone decided to crash Alisha, Jeff, Ralph and I all slept in one little day bed. How? I don't quite know, but we did. Before we fell alseep we were all awake for about an hour or so. It was like 7:30 in the morning. I was sitting next to Ralph. He asked me if he could lay his head in my lap. I said that was fine, he laid down and rubbed my leg. When he sat up and laid his head on my shoulder and had his hand on my knee. There was just something about him that drew me to him. I don't know what it was... And now we've been together for almost a year and 6 months! |
