FLORA
Name Description
Motherwood Trees Found in the tundras, specifically in the Marion Isles, motherwood trees have very wide trunks shaped much like onions.  The wood from these trees is soft and smooth.  It is not commonly used for weapons or armor but is more often used in structures or artworks due to it being easy to carve and shape.  Despite the massive size of the tree’s trunk, it’s interior is quite dry compared to normal woods.  Only the outer few inches contain much moister.  Due to this feature, the wood rarely cracks due to age even in dryer climates.  This is yet another reason this wood is liked for carving. The sap from these trees is very thin, clear, and has a sweet taste to it..  It is a valuable ingredient in many healing salves.  Tree grows in tundras.  The leaves of a motherwood tree are large and wide making excellent sources of cover.  On average, a motherwood leaf is roughly the size of a buckler.
