QUIRKS
Definition
Genetic quirks are simply odd twists found in every human being.  Every human has one and every human character may select one at character creation.  This reflects the fact that most quirks are either born into us or established as part of our upbringing.  A player can always turn down the option of taking a quirck if he so chooses.
   It could be asked why dont any of the other races get quirks?  To explain roughly, look at it from a player selection view point.  Every player gets to select from several different subspecies of elves or dwarves but not humans.  Why is that?  I basically created quirks to inspire more playing of humans.  To give them some of the lime-light that the other races where hogging.  Genetic quirks take that blandness out of the human race by adding a twist.  Granted quirks are very minor and typically only apply to roleplay aspects of the game they make humans a bit more fun.  Now you can play your High Elf, you can play your Tech Dwarf, and I can play my "abnormally large" Human.
   Every human may select just one genetic quirk.  Granted a player has the right to not select one.  Below is a list of some of the quirks that will be available in the game.  Remember that all quirks count as racial modifiers and cannot be changed short of a wish.

Throughout your life you just kept growing and growing.  You are considerably larger then normal.  You count as a large creature instead of medium and you weigh twice that of a normal human.  This may be due to obesity or lifting weights.
Cold Tolerance You are well adjusted to colder climates.  You can handle cold temperatures down to 10 degrees colder then most humans before suffering ill effects.
Curious You have a vey inquistive nature.  You gain a +1 bonus on all gather information checks.
Designer You have a knack for designing things.  You gain a +1 bonus to all Int checks involved in designing items or equipment of a mechanical nature (ie: catapullts, traps, etc).
Eagle Eyes You are said to have the eyes of an eagle.  You notice details that most humans do not.  You gain a +1 to spot checks. 
Hard Headed You literally have a hard head.  All bludgeoning weapons deal one less point of damage if the blow is dealt to the head.
Heat Tolerance You are well adjusted to hotter climates.  You can handle hot temperatures up to 10 degrees hotter then most humans before suffering ill effects.
Honest You have a powerful conscience when it comes to the truth.  You gain a +1 bonus to diplomacy checks but suffer a -1 penalty to bluff checks.
Inventive You have a knack for inventing new things.  You gain a +1 bonus to all Int checks involved in creating new compounds or items.
Seductive You have a way with the opposite sex.  You gain a +1 bonus to all Cha checks made against the opposite sex.
