The Absolutely Super Adventures Of Jacob Remington.

Jacob stood and thought about things for a moment, he carefully planned his next wish in his mind so that there was no way that it could be misinterpreted by his possibly invisible demon tormentor.

“I wish,” he began, “that this man will be able to touch things without them loosing their solidity and will remain solid himself. And I wish that any air or liquid that he touches will remain in its natural state or change only in accordance to the appropriate law of physics.”

The demon chuckled. “Wow, long wish,” the demon replied, “done.”

Meanwhile Malcolm had been panicking, trying desperately to touch the wall. Suddenly he couldn’t move. His broken arm was stuck through the wall.

On the other side of the wall old Mr. Hobson went into the back room of his shop to see a broken arm sticking through the side of a wall. Surprised, his first reaction was to try and push it out the other side. Then he thought sanely for a moment, and came to the most rational conclusion that he could. Obviously there had been a murder. Someone had knocked down his wall, rebuilt it with a corpse inside and wallpapered it sometime between now and when he had last gone in the room two hours ago. Satisfied, he closed up shop and went out for lunch.

As Malcolm screamed in pain Jacob came the conclusion that now would be a good time to introduce him self. Before anything else happened to this poor man. He walked up as casually as possible.

“Hi there,” he said, “Look, I’m sorry about almost getting you run over, then making you not solid, then making everything you touch not solid, then causing your arm to break and getting you stuck in a wall.”

Malcolm was very confused, it wasn’t every day that an angel with no arms trapped him in a brick wall. “Get me out of here!” he sobbed.

“Err… OK” answered Jacob. “I wish that this man was no longer stuck in a wall.” He heard another irritating laugh and looked to see where it came from. When he looked back, Malcolm was gone.

Where is Malcolm now? Can he get medical attention there? How much more pain can one person go through? How many questions is it acceptable to ask at this point in the story? Some of this may be explained in next instalment of…
