Scenes
One of the biggest arguments against having relationships develop on Star Trek shows is that the producers don't want to turn the show into a soap opera in space. But that's not what most of us want anyway. There are very few shows out there that provide us with good examples of loving, mature relationships. I'm not talking about a wild tumble in the sheets -- though there's nothing wrong with doing that occasionally -- but rather the kind of stable, long-lasting relationship that my parents have. Star Trek has always impressed me with their hope for a better future politically and morally, and it only seems natural that they do the same on an interpersonal level.
But so far all my wishing has gone for naught. So I decided to take the matter into my own hands and created a little series that I called "Scenes." It is based on the premise that these characters could have a wonderful, loving relationship that isn't necessarily based on sex, but rather on the little, everyday things in life. The first few parts set up the couples and get them together. I concentrate mostly on J/C and P/T, though there is some K/7 in later parts. Most of the parts aren't very long, in fact the majority are probably under about three pages. I've been trying to post a new part around the first of every month, though this may become a little less frequent in coming months as my life enters a period of upheaval. Enjoy!
Disclaimer (aka covering my butt): All characters contained within the stories posted here, barring those created by me, belong to Paramount. I'm just borrowing them and paying homage to the institution of Star Trek.
