Meet & Greet on November 9, 2002 in Las Vegas, Nevada

Wow, where to start. I won a Meet & Greet from a local radio station, thank you 94.1!!!!! I've never won anything in my life, so this was truly amazing to have my first win something spectacular like this.  My dream of meeting the boys was finally going to come true! So the day gets here and I am so nervous! Pacing all day, butterflies in my stomach...the works! We had a little pre-concert party at a local bar behind the MGM Grand, so we attended that and met up with some great fans, some I'd met before, others I had not! You guys are awesome! Can't wait to do it again! Then we were off to the MGM for the Meet &  Greet. I'm shaking so bad, my stomach was twirling! It took forever to get to the Will Call window to meet the radio station people, and when we finally did arrive, we couldn't find them! I was FREAKING OUT!!!!! I get in line at Will Call and they told me they had no idea what I was talking about....ok, now I'm really freaked! So we just start asking people standing around there if they knew anything about it, and finally we see a couple of guys standing there, and asked them.  They said, Yeah, this is where you need to be, check in with her. Thank you Tom and Christian!!!!!  So we check in, and wait......and wait....and wait....it was agony!!!! Little did i know that was just the beginning of the waiting! So finally they take us back to the arena, where we wait, and wait, and wait! After what seemed like an eternity, they lead us into the room where the boys were going to appear....and we wait, and wait, and wait! Needless to say, I've waited a long time for this!  Here it was, 6:40, show starts at 7:00 and still no Aerosmith! So I missed Must play, which was ok with me! I'm looking through the crack in the door, and I see Joey! There goes my heart racing! All of a sudden, they all walk in, and I just start smiling! I couldn't believe how small Steven and Joe were! I thought they'd be bigger! (Little Roadhouse flashback there!) So the first thing we had to do was take pics with the band.....our group was chosen to go first, so I take my spot between Steven and Joey...unfortunately, Brad was late, so he wasn't in our picture, which sucked big time, and they wouldn't retake it for us.  Steven put his arms around me and after all the thinking I had done on what I wanted to say to them, I blurt out, "I love you man!" He leans over and says, "I love you too," and kissed my cheek. He was just the sweetest person! So all the pics get taken and it's time to mingle with the band, get autographs, etc.  I go up to Joe first, he was a little stand offish, very unapproachable....didn't even look at anyone really.  I was a little disappointed in that, but I had heard that he was just that way.  So he signs my WTW book for me, and I head towards Joey.  He was basically the same as Joe, really quiet.  So next was Steven.  My hubby was talking to him and getting my painting signed that Connie painted and when I walked up, Steven was completely tripping out on it! He even put on his glasses to check it out.  He asked me who did it, I showed him the back with her information on it.  I can't believe how at ease I was talking to him, he was just so nice and attentive.  Looks you directly in the eyes when he's talking to you, like you are the only person in the room.  Makes you feel very special. I told him that Connie sent Joe one for his birthday, and Steven says, "Of me?" I laugh, and say, "No, of Joe."  He says, "Good, cause if she would have sent him one of me, he would have thrown it out!" I just cracked up! So he signs my book and I head to Tom.  He was amazing, so very nice as well. Everything you have heard about meeting Tom is true. So he signs my book, and I look around for Brad.  He's heading out the door! No way am I missing him, so I run up to him and say, "Hey Brad, will you sign this before you leave?" He did, thank goodness! I can't believe I almost missed him! So I told him "Thank you, have a great show," he says "Thank you," and leaves. I then remembered I was supposed to ask Tom if he would be doing the News From the Road again, so with hubby pushing me a little, I go up to him and ask him.  He says, "Yeah, I will be.  I'm actually working on one right now. My life's been a little unorganized lately" I tell him, "Good, cause we miss you.  Not that we don't like John, but we love your writing." (John was standing there, what else could I say? LOL)  I had some fan letters I had to give to Steven so I go up to him, my hubby tells him, "Steven, these are letters written by your fans," and I hand them to him.  He looks at them for a minute, then hands them to someone.....I thought at first it was John Kalodner, cause he was standing nearby, but hubby told me it wasn't him that Steven handed them to.  I forgot to smell him, with all the subjects of how he smells, but I did touch his hair, and let me tell you, it was like velvet!!!!! Amazingly soft! John Kalodner actually snickered when I did that, but I really didn't care! So I see some girls getting their M&G passes signed by Steven, so I go up to him and say, "Hey Steven, I want mine signed too!" He looked at it, and said, "Oooooh, my pleasure!" Of course I had it right in the middle of my chest, so he had to reach in my shirt to sign it! Let me just say, it was quite an experience and leave it at that! So I hugged him again, he kissed my cheek, and that was that...it was time to head out to the show.  I saw a few friends outside, and I just ran up telling them how awesome it was! The show was awesome, although they didn't do anything special for the Vegas crowd, except maybe Let the Music do the Talking, which was incredible by the way! It was a truly "Amazing" night, one I will never forget! Thank you Aerosmith for making my dream come true!
