PSA GENERAL MEETING
February 19, 2004

Discussion of AES Board Structural Issues:

Dennis Lazarus, AES Board President, discussed the three structural issues that the Board is currently considering as part of its annual policy review:

(a) whether the AES Board should meet fewer than 10 times each academic year, as currently required;
(b) whether AES Board members should be allowed to run for a third consecutive two-year term, rather than be limited to two consecutive terms; and
(c) whether AES Board membership should be open to individuals other than parents of AES students.

Many parents questioned the wisdom of these changes. Parents who could not attend the meeting may email comments on these issues to dennis.lazarus@undp.org..
