Standing before you is a boy that is no longer a boy, and a man who is not yet a man. Airic is between worlds, as it were, at the age of seventeen. The sword he wields is no longer a harmless wooden toy and he has learned to use several weapons with proficiency, but at heart Airic still sees himself as that Knight in Shining armor going off to slay dragons and save damsels from distress. Sometimes he can be foolishly noble, having a strong sense of Honor, and while many find it charming, still more believe Airic needs to get a grip on reality and forget the silly dreams of childhood. Yet Aredhel accepted him into the First House without hesitation and he has been a good student all his life, even with his fantastic imagination about good versus evil and making the world a better place.
Sometimes it seems like it's all a game to him, that perhaps Airic truly believes he will someday venture off to tirumph over evil and fight with bravery and valor in the name of Truth and Justice. And who are you to tell him he won't? Perhaps Airic will be the next hero this world will know. Perhaps, after all, he will be the next man to live forever through the memory of brave and selfless deeds. |
