Kaede has the carmaled color skin that betrays her ancestry. Her dark copper hair hangs in curls down her back. Her skin is often dry from the sea air, her lips chapped. She has the hands of a woman that works hard for her living, instead of the hands of a woman who has never known a days work in her life, rough.
Kaede still masquerades as a man now and then, pulling her long hair up into a cap atop her head and adorned in men's clothing she can pull it off quite well, as long as she keeps her cap pulled low enough to shade her face and she remembers not speak too much. When she is not dressed as a man she wears loose fitting silken black pants, tucked into boots that go to her calves. A red and blue sash around her slender waist and a white silken shirt. When her hair is down around her shoulders in soft curls and she sings of her adventures she has been compared to the mythical sirens of the sea.
Kaede is a hard woman. She is crude and brash as most pirates are. She does not care who she is addressing at any given time, to her, all people not born to sail, are 'lubbers' and are treated no better then children. She is easy going, however, and not quick to anger. Though when her anger is piqued, those within striking distance better be wary. She is -never- given to sweet words, being blunt and honest in all she does. She also does not take well to words that reek of honey, and thinks that those who lavish compliments or try to win her over with pretty words, are fools. |
