| Ryael is the only Guardian of the First House, and a favorite of the House Masters. While he can be troublesome at times when he is with Lara, most believe he is a good influence on the mischievious girl, more so than she is a bad influence on him. He spends much time with the young woman, especially when her more elusive friend Merci is going to be there. Most of his time goes into training though, and he is a worthy opponent at swordplay. Laidback, but serious, Ryael is pleasant to be around but unlike his friend Lara and his sister, Sylah, he's never exactly the life of the party, with a respect for rules and a mentality beyond his years. He's a stable lad, and no one doubts that he will succeed in achieving his goals, whatever they may be. No one is certain what Ryael's future will hold, but they have even less knowledge of what is hidden in his past. "I joined the House of Aetharyn to leave it all behind.
