A troubled past belongs to Tyler. He grew up within the walls of Haven,
the son of two free mongrels. A promising career as a Hound awaited him, for his
gruff father relentlessly pushed him down the same path that he had chosen for
himself: one of honest law enforcement. But Tyler sacrificed all hope for such a
future by his constant rebelling against his austere father, which ultimately l
ead to his departure from Haven.
With a grudging hatred for his father, whom was never satisfied with any
thing that Tyler did, the young mongrel attempted to fashion his own future. He
became an impulsive gambler and sometime smuggler, a mercenary sellsword and imp
etuous soldier, a wild sailor and brutal hunter; rebounding back and forth betwe
en profession and purpose, living carefree and only for the moment. Tyler even t
ried farming, but spiritless and humble labor certainly did not take to him. No,
this rugged mongrel found comfort in a life of action and violence, and has mor
e than once escaped the deadly peril of such choices by sheer luck alone.
After his father died in the line of duty, Tyler returned to Haven. Myri
ad scars and a certain cockiness -- which can sharply shift into rabid aggressio
n when crossed -- tally the warrior trials that he has seen and survived, even i
f it was in an unorthodox and informal fashion.
