Brussels, Belgium - Our trip to Brussels was unplanned.  We drove into the city until we saw something interesting.  We saw a couple of merry-go-rounds in a park with lots of people walking around, so we quickly parked.  It was the annual Euro Andalucian festival!  There were food booths representing many Spanish speaking countries such as Spain, Columbia, and Cua.  We ate paella and sipped on sangria whil watching Spanish dancers showing off their moves to the lively Spanish music.  Afterwards, we walked to the end of the park where we saw this amazing church.

The church is called the Basilica of the Sacred Heart.  It was built to remember the 75th anniversary of the Belgian independence.  Construction started in 1905, halted due to WWi and continued in 1919.  It was finally finished in the late 1960s!!
