Our Wedding
About Ann
About Romeo
Romeo and I are both friends with Jay Weinstein.  Romeo and Jay worked at the same company (M-Flex) several years ago.  Jay and I met in junior high school, and have become the best of friends.  Jay had introduced Romeo and me at parties or gatherings over the course of about five years, but neither of us had any interest in the other person.
In 1998, I invited Jay and some girlfriends to New Orleans to celebrate my 28th birthday.  Jay had talked about going to New Orleans with Romeo at a separate time, but thought it a great idea to invite Romeo to join the fun.  The more the merrier, right?  Romeo, Jay and I stayed in the French Quarter and had a great time roaming around Bourbon Street.  A few weeks after we left New Orleans, Romeo and I went on our first date... and the rest is history!
On February 13, 1999, Romeo and I spent a romantic "Valentine's Day Eve" together in front of the fireplace.  I was giddy with excitement over spending Valentine's Day weekend together alone.  All day, Romeo was nervous and edgy, but I had no idea why.  Romeo opened his fun gifts from me.  We laughed and played around with the gifts until... Romeo brought out a small box.  I thought it was a pair of earrings.  (Romeo had talked about earrings the week before.)  When I slowly opened the box, a bright light in the box turned on and shined upon the beautiful ring.  I gasped and quickly snapped the box shut with a "clump".  I slowly opened the box a second time and stared at the glimmering diamond.  I looked up at Romeo in shock.  With the most gentle voice, Romeo looked deeply into my eyes and asked "Will you marry me?"  It's the best Valentine's Day I have ever experienced in my life!!
