I discovered fanfiction over a year ago while perusing a site for the old show, "Combat!".  I'd seen a link for something called 'fanfiction', but had no clue what that was.  My curiosity finally got the best of me and I clicked on the link.  Well, that was it.  I've been hooked on fanfiction ever since.  There aren't but a few Combat! writers, and we went through a dry spell last winter.  I suffered withdrawl and was absolutely desperate for new stories.  One night, I sat bolt upright in bed with a scene for a story.  I got up and wrote it down, dialogue and all.  I wrote feverishly for the next two days...and my first story was born.  Written completely backwards, but it worked.  I sent it to a friend, who told me to submit it to the Combat! list.  I did, they sent me tons of feedback (Ahhh, those were the days. LOL), and I continued to write.  A few months later, I decided to try my hand at "Nash Bridges" and the character of Harvey Leek.  The rest, as they say, is history.  Now, I'm involved in two Interactive story lists; I've teamed up with Kat to torture...um, challenge...the other writers with The Writer's Block; have collaborated with Kat on a story, and have another writer patiently waiting for me to get my behind in gear to collaborate with her.  It's been an incredible ride that I sincerely hope continues.  I hope I'm improving as I go along, for learning is a never ending process.  Seven months and ten stories after I began this journey, I find that I have discovered a hidden passion...
which I hope only continues to burn.
