Lake Baringo is one of the lakes found in the Great Rift Valley. We camp at Robert's Campsite on the shores of the lake, and in the evening hippos graze right up to the outside of the tents. Robert's Campsite is owned by Mark Archer and his family, and you can view their website here. An early morning boat trip allows us the opportunity to look for hippos and crocodiles, as well as watching the fish eagles feed. In the afternoon some of the local children will take us for a guided walk through the bush that is their home, to Kapsoi School where we have arranged to join the children for a volleyball match. |
