One of the best all around horseshoe pitchers in the state. Setting aside his winning the State Championships in 1994 and 1995, Jim was much better as a person. Jim always had a smile and a kind word for others. In his caring for the sport you could always find him working on the pits so others would have good clay to pitch in.
