Graceland Cemetery Chicago, Illinois Admidst fears that bodies in the then lake-front City Cemetery would taint the lake, Graceland Cemetery was opened in 1860, and the bodies were relocated. The site of the old cemetery eventually became part of Lincoln Park. Graceland is the final home of some of Chicago's finest, including Marshall Fields, George Pullman, and Allan Pinkerton. |
