LADY OF MINE
(Unlike my other work, this poem is written from the male perspective,
inspired by a love letter written to me)

Copyright 2002  Wanda L. Harrell
That voice of yours haunts my soul,
Smoother than a fine vintage wine
Much sweeter than golden honey,
Inspiring me like an angel's whisper,
That voice of yours is so soft and kind,
Tantalizing me in a very subtle way,
Lady, oh lady of mine.

That voice of yours permeates my heart,
It clings to the walls of my soul like a vine,
Embracing me with every word,
O' whisper to me your passionate verses,
Serenade my spirit with every line,
Encouraging my heart with your rhymes,
Lady, oh lady of mine.

Your voice urges me to slowly undress you,
Melodically enticing me to take the time
To make love to you in the middle of the day,
As delicate and velvety as the petal of a rose,
Is that voice that soothes my mind,
Always spilling out words of love to me,
Lady, oh lady of mine.
