Gillespie Farms - March 12, 2005 - Photo Album
The Ides of March launch was a success.  The temperature was in the mid 70's and the wind was blowing from the Southwest at 5 to 12 mph.  The high winds made A motors the most popular impulse and saucers the most popular airframe.

During the launch we got to test a new 4 position launch pad.  Congratulations to John Bazan, who certified NAR Level 1 with a 10" Flourescent Orange Delta flying saucer on a Cesaroni Pro38, 2 Grain, H153 motor.  The saucer really tore off the pad and pointed into the wind.  It drifted down for a perfect one point landing about 150 feet from the pad.

Art Applewhite brought a bunch of his kits and sold them at a greatly reduced price.

There were 8 rocketeers making 39 flight total. 21 folks in total attended the launch including the Reno brothers. The winds started picking up so we wrapped things up just after 1 PM. Thanks to everyone for pitching in to packing up the equipment.

Flights by Impulse: A - 14, B - 7, C - 10, D - 2, E - 3, F - 2, H -1
Thanks to Ken Gillespie for allows us to fly on his property.
