Boker Infinity

My favorite German knife, ceramic blade is made in Japan on a German material patent using a hot isostatic pressing process, handle has American designed Zytel. Blade is made from zirconium oxide, built just like artificial gems. As strong and pry resistant as any mid-grade stainless steel folding knife, zirconium carbide is a bit stronger but isn't offered on the Infinity or smaller Gamma. They are available with sintered ceramic titanium blades that act and wear like traditional steel.

Mercator K55

"Cat knife" from 21st-century Solingen that's made with the same carbon steel locking blade as earlier versions.

Bundeswehr Taschenmesser

Just like any other multifunction pocket knife. Marked: CCM ROSTFREI (rust-free).

Bundeswehr Einhand Taschenmesser

Supposedly issued to German forces, at least that's what the advertisement said, the addition of a locking blade makes it safer to use over the old style. Civilian "One Hand Trekker" version comes with tweezers and toothpick that are usually in the handle. Marked: VICTORINOX SWITZERLAND STAINLESS.

Bundeswehr LL80 Fallschirmjager Messer

Eickhorn "1865-1985" edition from Solingen, issued (sold in this case) to NATO forces, US$50 in 1989. Spike is designed for rope knots and cleaning boot treads, modern version works the same as the WWII paratrooper utility knife on which they're based. Colt imported a batch of "Search and Rescue" edition.

Bundeswehr Kampfmesser

Old style West German issue combat knife, still used but are being phased out for the perfect, if not heavy KM 2000. Marked: HSK 1970.

Bundeswehr Kampfmesser 2000

NATO 440A stainless Mil-Spec can be used by any American who wants to buy one, very un-German-like large tanto design. German military knives hadn't changed much since WWII, variations had a plastic handle instead of wood, KM 2000 is a general update that started with infantry. There's now a KM 3000.

Bundeswehr Marine Messer

Navy utility knife with a blade crafted in Remscheid. Marked: BUND DONGES 5110-12-126-2475.
