Each of
the three badges is finished in glass enamel over
brass and
made by stokes of melbourne australia.
The Melbourne
Branch of the SAASA was formed in about 1908 from men who
had served
in the Boer War and continued until the earlier part of the 1970's.
They appear
to have issued badges to indicate membership and in the 1920's used
the
type of fob below.
They alternate the areas in which the enamel colours are used.
I have only
scanned one of the reverse sides as it is the
same on
all three except for the dates which are
1927 1928 1929
The 2 below are also Australian issued Boer War Association badges, Both very scarce to rare
