Our chapter house is more than 100 years old. It also is the second oldest house in Cheney, Washington. Our house has a basement, main floor and an upper floor. We also have an attic, which we do not use. The basement level, houses ten girls and their belongings. It is also the home of our computer room that has internet access. Also in the basement, is the freezer space for the girls to keep their frozen goods. The basement also houses the house washer and dryer. The main floor is the busiest section of the house. It houses our the formal living room, the dining room, the kitchen, the television room and the house mom's room, which we use for more computer space and to hold new member education. The kitchen is the most exciting section of the house. With stools and chairs to sit on, the members of Eta Psi sit down and talk about their days. The third and final floor of our chapter house houses the other ten girls and their belongings. Unlike the basement, the upstairs has three rooms. Two rooms each hold four members and their belongings. The third room is the President's room. The President gets to pick her own roommate! If you are interested in seeing the inside of the Alpha Phi Eta Psi chapter house, come by on any Saturday from noon to 2 p.m., and the members would be happy to take you on a tour. |
