Chili Mix 1 tb Unbleached Flour 1 1/2 ts Chili Powder 1/2 ts Crushed Dried Red Pepper 1/2 ts Sugar 2 tb Instant Minced Onion 1 ts Seasoned Salt 1/2 ts Instant Minced Garlic 1/2 ts Ground Cumin Combine all ingredients and blend well. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place and use within 6 months. This makes 1 package (about 1/4 cup) of mix, but you can double or triple the recipe for more. To make chili, brown 1 pound of ground beef and drain. Add a couple of cups of beans, two cans of tomatoes, or four large tomatoes, peeled. Add seasoning mix and reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. |
