Is it Proper to Worship Jesus?

Did some doubt that they should worship Jesus in his day?

Matthew 28:16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. :17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. :18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. :19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: :20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.(2 Corinthians 13:14;2 Samuel 23:1to3;Ephesians 4:4to7,12to15,30;Romans 8:8,9)

Is it against God’s perfect holy law of love to worship any one other than him?

Exodus 20:2 I am the LORD thy God, ... :3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

It is proper to worship angels, or men? or to accept God’s glory to one’s self?

Revelation 22:8 And I John saw these things, and heard [them]. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which showed me these things. :9 Then saith he unto me, See [thou do it] not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God. 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See [thou do it] not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Acts10:25 And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped [him]. :26 But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man. Acts 12:21to23 And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost. (Matthew 4:9,10)

Is it a form of idolatry to believe, accept or worship an organization’s lies?

Jeremiah 51:17 Every man is brutish by [his] knowledge; every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image [is] falsehood,(lie) and [there is] no breath in them.

:18 They [are] vanity, the work of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish.

Revelation 13:15to18 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast(Daniel 7:17,23) should be killed. :18 ... count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number [is] Six hundred threescore [and] six.(666) Daniel 3:1 Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold,(Dan.2:38,39) whose height [was] threescore cubits, [and] the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon. :5 [That] at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer,(666) and all kinds of music, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up: 3:17 If it be [so], our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver [us] out of thine hand, O king. :18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

(Notice it is always wrong to fall down and worship man or his lies! Exodus 20:4,5,8to11)

Is it an abomination to worship the sun, or on the sun’s day at the LORD’s house?

Ezekiel 8:15 Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen [this], O son of man? turn thee yet again, [and] thou shalt see greater abominations than these. :16 And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD'S house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, [were] about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east. (Eze. 22:24,26to31)

Some doubt today, they reason that firstborn means first created. That makes Jesus just a created being, not really God? Who is/was Jesus? and what did he become?

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

1:3 “All” things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

(Isaiah 9:6;10:20,21; Micah 5:2) :14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, ...

(Romans 8:3; Hebrews 2:14to18) (1 Peter 2:21,22)

To fall down and worship anyone or anything other than God, would be a form of idolatry.

Should anyone fall down and worship Jesus if He is not Jehovah, God Almighty too?

(Mat.23;37;Psa.91:1to4;Ru.2:12) Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. 2:2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. :11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

Hebrews 1:6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. :8 But unto the Son [he saith], Thy throne, O God, [is] for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness [is] the sceptre of thy kingdom. 1:9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, [even] thy God,(Psalm 22:1,7to10,16to18) hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

John 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.

:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed [are] they that have not seen, and [yet] have believed. 9:31to38; 13:13,14 (Do you believe?)

Revelation 4:8to10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. (compare Col.1:16)

5:8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four [and] twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. :9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; :10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. :11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; :12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. :13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, [be] unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. :14 And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four [and] twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever. (Rev.1:8,17,18; 22:13to16)

What is part of the everlasting gospel?

Revelation14:6to12 :6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, :7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

Colossians 1:16 For by him(Jesus) were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: :17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. (compare Rev.4:11) Exodus 20:11 For [in] six days the LORD (Jehovah) made(John 1:1,3,10,14) heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them [is], and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Will there be a time when every knee should bow and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,

even them that doubt and don’t believe?

Philippians 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and [things] in earth, and [things] under the earth; :11 And [that] every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father. 3:20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

Isaiah 45:18 For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I [am] the LORD; and [there is] none else. :21 Tell ye, and bring [them] near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? [who] hath told it from that time? [have] not I the LORD? and [there is] no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; [there is] none beside me. :22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I [am] God, and [there is] none else. :23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth [in] righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. :24 Surely, shall [one] say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength: [even] to him shall [men] come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed. :25 In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.

Can you be an antichrist, (anti-Jehovah) by what you believe about Jesus?

I John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. 2:21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth. :22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. :23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: [(but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also]. (4:1to16) Titus 1:3,4,16

1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. 4:10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

(Genesis 22:8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together. compare: John 1:1,29; Exodus 32;32,33; Rev.13:8)

Will there continue to be worship of the Lamb in the new heavens and earth?

Revelation 21:1to4,10;22:1to4; Isaiah 66:22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.

:23 And it shall come to pass, [that] from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.

Will you believe and not doubt that God wants to be your only personal Saviour and Lord?

Romans 5:8to12; 10:9to17 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us,(you) in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
