I went with my former sister-in-law, Lisa, and it was a warm, sunny day. The opening act was Bryan Adams, who was just starting to become popular. 2. Who is your favorite artist/band now? Of present day artists, I would choose Sarah McLachlan 3. What's your favorite song? I have way to many favorite songs! I have favorites from different stages in my life, songs that remind me of good times and even sad times. Both the melodies and the lyrics stir up memories. My other web page has a lyric page with just a potpourri of lyrics. Eventually, I intend to change it to just my favorites songs, with details of what the song means to me. If I had to choose just one song right now, though, it would be Faith of the Heart, the theme song of the new Star Trek series, Enterprise. Unless you're a Star Trek fan, you've probably never heard it. The song inspires hope for the future, and many real "Treckies" hate it. I think it's a fitting song for these days, when the world is in such turmoil: It's been a long road, getting from there to here. It's been a long time, but my time is fin'lly near. And I can feel a change in the wind right now, Nothing's in my way. And they're not going to hold me down no more, No they're not going to hold me down. Chorus: 'Cause I've got faith of the heart, I'm going where my heart will take me. I've got faith to believe... I can do anything. I've got strength of the soul, And no one's going to bend or break me. I can reach any star, 'cause I've got faith. I've got faith. Faith of the heart. It's been a long night, Trying to find my way. Been through the darkness, Now I'll fin'lly have my day. And I will see my dream come alive at last. I will touch the sky. And they're not going to hold me down no more, No they're not going to change my mind. CHORUS I've known a wind so cold, I've seen the darkest days. But now the winds I feel are only winds of change. I've been to the fire, and I've been to the rain, But I'll be fine. CHORUS 4. If you could play any instrument, what would it be? I don't have an answer for this one. While I enjoy listening to music, playing an instrument just isn't my thing. 5. If you could meet any musical icon (past or present), who would it be and why? I can't think of just one person. I would be thrilled to meet any musical icon, if given the opportunity. Thanks for reading! Ann Marie ![]() ![]() ![]() |
