It's snowing!

It just so happens that I live near the snowiest large city in the United States.
With that chilly thought in mind, I thought I'd bring you some winter weather driving tips:
1. Break slowly and gently. Do not slam on the brakes! (Unless you want to find yourself pointed in another direction.)
2. Do not speed! Slow down, especially on hills, bridges and when you are approaching an intersection! (Unless you're in a race to see who can have an accident first.)
3. Drive carefully and defensively.
4. Brush the snow off your vehicle! (So you do not create a blizzard for the vehicle behind you.)
5. Clear the ice and snow from your headlights and tail lights.
6. Stay in your lane! Just because the road lines are covered in snow does not mean you get to drive in the middle of the road or pass in a no passing zone.
7. Defrost your windshield. Why would you even attempt to drive blind?
8. If it's sunny, wear sunglasses. There's nothing like being blinded by snow.
9. Turn your lowbeams on during snow, and use your four-ways if you are driving very slowly.
10.
Do not read, use your cell phone, apply make-up, or shave while driving - ever!
(Unless you're just plain stupid, in which case, please go to the nearest DMV and ask them to pull your license for stupidity.)
