The other day, I mentioned that we had a friend that was going in for colon cancer surgery next week. I knew that her surgery was scheduled for Friday, the 12th, but it just seemed, at the time, that the date was over a week away. But, today's the day already. I dunno... I think my subconscious was pushing this day further into the future, although in reality I knew it was this soon. ??? I just hope and pray that everything goes well at the hospital today.

John and I were at the hospital Wednesday night. A friend of ours was hit by a car in a parking lot, and we drove her to the hospital. Fortunately, there were no broken bones involved. Will someone please explain to me why some drivers have no consideration for anything that is in their path?

Several years ago, Kim was in a car accident. She had been taken to the hospital by ambulance, and she called us from the ER. When we got to the hospital emergency department, she wasn't there. We asked around, and no one knew anything. Granted, it was busy, but you'd think someone would know something. ??? We finally came to the conclusion that she must have called from another hospital and was just confused when she called. We walked to the main lobby to use a payphone to call other hospitals, and there was my sister, walking around in a daze! She had no recollection of how she had gotten to the lobby. They had released her with a concussion! Is it just me, or there something terribly wrong with this picture?
