Sunday Brunch
WILD AND CRAZY STUFF
1. When you were a teenager, did you sneak out of the house?
Actually, yes I did. Not too many times though. But, when you have overprotective parents, you're bound to rebel and sneak out once in a while.
2. Have you ever gone skinny-dipping?
No skinny dipping, but I did do some nude sunbathing in a secluded area of a beach once.
3. Have you ever dyed your hair a wild and crazy color?
The closest color to being "wild and crazy" was red. It was a "Lucille Ball" shade of red, and I couldn't wait until it grew out.
4. Did you ever get so drunk you couldn't remember much of the night?
Unfortunately, there were a few times that I have gotten that drunk.
The last time it taught me not to mix mixed drinks. I was so sick that night, someone told me my shoes ended up coming up.
(Of course I can't remember to know whether that was true or not...lol!)
That was the last time I had more than a couple of drinks at a shot.
5. Tell us about something wild and crazy you did as a teenager you
probably should have gotten in trouble for but never got caught.
A friend and I went parking near a town water tower, but we were caught by the sheriff. We didn't really get in trouble though, except we were asked to leave the property.
I didn't really do anything wild and crazy that I should have gotten in trouble for, but I did get in trouble for doing things I didn't do.
But we're not going there now.
Catching up on other stuff:
Kevin did not get the job he interviewed for a couple of weeks ago. However, he made a good impression, and he was offered another position last week.
He started Thursday and he likes his job. Yay! One down, thousands of unemployed people to go....
And thousands more are joining the job search, as Kodak anounced this week they would be laying off 12,000 to 15,000 worldwide over the next three years, with 4,000 to 5,000 of them right here in Rochester.
You can read more on that story here.
Did I mention that John had two interviews? He won't know anything for about a month, so everyone please keep your positive thoughts!
I have had no positive responses, although I am getting rejection letters more frequently. I just got a letter from a company I applied to in September, indicating they had hired another applicant in October.
I guess HR departments are getting too busy with all the applications/resumes they are receiving. I was optomistic that I would have my new opportunity by the end of the month, but I'm starting to lose faith.
Our refrigerator started to die on Friday, apparently caused by a power surge when we lost power on Friday. Unfortunately, the landlord can't get anyone to look at it until Monday.
I guess if we get desperate enough, we can put everything outdoors to keep it cold. As it is right now, everything is in the freezer compartment, which is at 45 degrees.
I lost four of the eight pounds I had gained over the past two weeks. I attribute it to eating healthier, eating less, baking less (although I just baked a batch of applesauce oatmeal cookies), and increased stress.
(I don't recommend the latter for weight reduction though!) Instead of porksteaks, bbq chicken, hamburgers, chili, etc., we've been eating a lot of soup.
Kenzie is doing fine. She went with us to my niece's birthday party last night. My neice turned three, and, believe it or not, Kenzie will be 5 months old in just over a week!
Time certainly flies, doesn't it? Even when you're not necessarily having fun.....
Thanks for reading!
